またまた作ってみました 木工製品。
とは言っても、今回は木では無く竹であります。
そして、今回も、全く自転車とは関係無いお話です。
最初に作った自転車スタンドではありません。
関係といえば、前回作ったものと関係をしていますけど・・・
今、日本中では、竹林が放置されて問題となっています。
適度に竹を伐採して人の手を入れて管理しないと、どんどんと
竹の根がはびこり、隣の敷地迄侵入をしてしまいます。
また、枯れた竹は倒れて腐敗してうっそうと茂り、手を付ける
事が出来なくなってしまいます。
亀がボランティアで行っている「ふれあいの樹林」でも定期的
に竹を伐採しなければなりません。
と、いう事で、伐採して廃棄する竹を有効利用出来ないかと、
作ってみたのがこれ。
竹を割って、やすりで平にして穴を開けてビス止めをします。
折りたたむと、こんなに小さくなります。また、竹なので軽量
であります。
はて、今回は何を作ったのでありましょう？

Today's topic is ' What is this? Chapter Three '
My talk today is short, so I have enlarged the letter .
You’ll find it easier to read. I have made another
woodwork. This time, the material is not wood but bamboo.
This is not the bike stand I introduced earlir Capter One.
But it's related to the one I made last time Chapter two.
Bamboo forests are now a problem in Japan because they are
left unattended. If people don't cut down and manage the
bamboo, the roots of the bamboo will spread more and more,
and the bamboo will invade the neighbour's property.
Also, dead bamboos fall over and become overgrown, making
it impossible for people to enter and cut them down.
There is also a bamboo grove in the ' Fureai no jyurin ',
where I volunteer. And there we have to cut down the
bamboo regularly. So I wondered if I could make effective
use of the bamboo that's only cut down and discarded, just
as people did in the past, and made this.
I did splited, heated over a fire to remove the oil,
rasped flat, drilled, oiled and screwed together.
When folded, it's so small. And because it's bamboo,
it's lightweight. Now, what have I made?
And just like the last bike stand, this one is also sold
at a very low price. Only it's made of wood, not bamboo...
Again I didn't get a lot of profit.
