北海道各地の美しい風景
暑い夏が続きます。こんな時は、夏でも比較的涼しい北海道の
美しい景色を思い出します。
礼文島と利尻島
北の国境に接した島々。礼文島と利尻島です。緯度の高い気温
の低い気候で低地でも高山植物を観る事が出来ます。そして、
利尻富士という美しい山が在ります。
有名な北海道のお土産の包装紙には、この利尻富士が描かれて
います。また、この二つの島で採れる昆布と海胆は美味しい事
で知られる島の特産品です。
特に利尻昆布は、透明で風味のよい出汁が取れるのが特徴で、
高級和食レストランで使用されるそうです。
美瑛と富良野
ヨーロッパの平原のような景色で、日本らしくない風景でした。
壮大な風景と比較的平坦で急な坂道が無く、自転車で走るには
最高の場所でした。
釧路湿原と霧多布湿原
釧路湿原は、ラムサール条約で認定された初めての日本の湿原
です。ラムサール条約とは、特に水鳥の生息地として国際的に
重要な湿地を保護する目的で設立された条約です。
そして、霧多布湿原もラムサール条約で認定され、夏から秋に
かけては多くの花々が湿原を彩り、「花の湿原」とも呼ばれて
います。
納沙布岬
北海道の最東端の岬。その先にロシアが実効支配している北方
領土があります。
納沙布岬に一番近い街である根室市の市街地には、ロシア語の
看板が沢山ありました。
ウポポイ
北海道の先住民族であるアイヌの歴史と文化を伝える施設。
海外では、その国のアイデンティティである先住民族の歴史と
文化を伝える施設は、多くありますが、このウポポイは、日本
で初めて設立された先住民族の歴史と文化を伝える施設です。
函館
明治時代に海外との交易港として、長崎と神戸と新潟と横浜と
函館が選ばれました。その一番北にある交易港が函館です。
函館山から望む函館の夜景は有名です。
また、函館は、外人居留地の街並みと、海鮮市場がある事でも
有名です。

Today's topic is ' The beautiful scenery of Hokkaido '
The hot summer continues. I'm not allowed to go far away
because of the bicycle riding ban imposed on me. At times
like this, I'm reminded of the beautiful scenery of
Hokkaido, It's relatively cool even in summer there .
Rebun and Rishiri islands.
Because of the high latitude and cool climate there, we
can see alpine flora even at low altitudes. We can also
see a beautiful mountain called Rishiri Fuji. Rishiri
Fuji is depicted on the wrapping paper of famous Hokkaido
souvenirs.
The kelp and sea urchin eggs from there are also well-
known specialities of the island.
In Hokkaido, there are different brands of kelp in
different places. Rishiri kelp in particular is
characterised by its clear and flavor some broth, that's
used in high-end Japanese restaurants.
Biei and Furano
The landscape looked like the plains of Europe, It didn't
look like a Japanese landscape.
There is flat and had no steep slope there, it's a great
place for cycling
Kushiro Marshland and Kiritappu Marshland
Kushiro Marshland is the first marshland in Japan to be
recognised under the Ramsar Convention. The Ramsar
Convention was established to protect marshlands of
international importance, where the waterfowl live.
Kiritappu Marshland is also recognised under the Ramsar
Convention, and is also known as the 'marshland of
flowers', as many flowers adorn the marshland from summer
to autumn.
Cape Nosappu.
The east most cape of Hokkaido. Beyond it lies the
Northern Territories, which are effectively controlled by
Russia. In the urban area of Nemuro City, the nearest town
to Cape Nosappu, there were many signs in Russian.
Upopoi.
This facility conveys the history and culture of the Ainu,
the indigenous people of Hokkaido. There are many
facilities abroad that the history and culture of the
indigenous people of a country's identity. Upopoi is the
first facility in Japan to the history and culture of the
indigenous people.
Hakodate
Nagasaki, Kobe, Niigata, Yokohama and Hakodate were
selected as overseas trading ports during the Meiji period.
Hakodate is the northernmost trading port.
The night view of Hakodate , foreign settlement and
seafood market are famous.
